Due to budget constraints, amongst other things, it is increasingly becoming of crucial importance to prove the cost-effectiveness of public health programs, next to the effectiveness. The objective of this course is to learn about techniques to provide insight into this cost-effectiveness in other words Public Health Technology Assessment and economic evaluation of public health programs

In this short course based on lectures and practical insights coming from the field of public health we will provide insight in the major themes of economic evaluation in the field of public health i.e. Burden of Diseases, Framing an economic evaluation study, Outcomes assessment and quality of life, Costing in economic evaluation study, Synthesising cost and effects, and Uncertainty and Reporting. The master class consists of plenary session with lectures, discussions, and workgroup sessions.
