Embrace (SamenOud): Care model is a success formula

Embrace, the English term for SamenOud celebrates an event on Wednesday, February 11th  VanBeresteyn te Veendam: the project has been completed, and it's time for a final conference. Embrace is the new model of care for elderly living at home, which was realized in Veendam, Pekela and Stadskanaal commissioned by the National Programme for the Elderly. Because of the promising experiences and results will Embrace after the project by Southeast Groningen. Embrace has also been launched successfully in Drenthe.

During the festive meeting with all stakeholders they look back together with the elderly, the  care teams, the project team and the directors on projects from the past years. The most recent results of research into the effects of Embrace are also presented. Delivers Embrace  for the elderly added value? Improves it the quality of care? What about health care use and costs of care and guidance? During the final conference researchers of Embrace present their findings and results of earlier research, in which the elderly and members of the care teams were interviewed, it was already known that Emrbace fits the needs of the elderly. Elders indicated that they feel safe and secure by structural attention care team .
