Groningen known as 'Startup City'

The Hanzehogeschool of Applied Science reached the top 25 with the amount of spin-offs. The Hanze University represents Groningen in the worldwide top on the category 'Knowledge transfer', according to a resport of the NRC Handelsblad. Groningen is, after Amsterdam, the best startup city of the Netherlands.  

Groningen was recently visited by Neelie Kroes, special envoy Startup Delta. She was invited at the Big Building to attend a presentation of the business platform 'Founded in Groningen'. They appeared to be very impressed by the progress Groningen made and noticed that the growth of this Startup city is clearly visible.

Center of Entrepreneurship Value050, Incubator Cube050 and the Big Building are examples of startup climate of Groningen. Hanze University of Applied Science, the University of Groningen and the University Medical Center Groningen these parties together promote entrepreneurship in Groningen.
