UMCG featured in TV documentary series

Several departments of the UMCG are to be seen in the documentary series 'They keep the Netherlands alive. This TV series paints a broad picture of the care in the Netherlands.

It is filmed on a given day -16 May- in more than 30 health care facilities with more than 70 cameras. In addition to shooting in hospitals is also filmed in the elderly, primary care, trauma and mental health. Also in the UMCG did that day a recording take place. In the first episode of the series the MMT and the neonatology department are in the picture. In the second episode is an operation to see in which a kidney is transplanted.
The series first episode is to see on Wednesday, September 3rd. 5 episodes are planned.
